Marc P. Bouret (M.B.A., J.D.) is an attorney-mediator, arbitrator, and negotiation consultant and trainer. He is principal of Bouret ADR & Mediation Firm. He has resoved disputes and crafted deals for more than 30-years as a litigator and his ADR experience covers a wide variety of substantive areas with service on eight court panels and is in the middle of a three year term on the Alameda County Superior Court ADR administration committee. He operates his full time Alternative Dispute Resolution practice from Walnut Creek, California.

Since starting his ADR work in the 1980"s, Marc has completed over 2,300 mediations and 2,025 arbitrations, with considerable formal training totalling over 332 hours through August, 2010. He is particularly skilled at getting to the heart of multifaceted issues and dealing with the human factors that create obstacles to settlement. Mr. Bouret has mediated successfully multi-party catastrophic or serious injury and wrongful death cases, construction, real estate, land use, business, education, insurance, employment, probate and estate, civil rights, partnership, healthcare, ADA and FEHA, discrimination and sexual harassment cases, professional liability claims, product and premises liability matters. He has worked in those cases with special emotional challenges.

He received the Outstanding Attorney Volunteer Award in 2000 from Volunteers in Parole, Inc. and in 1993 received the Alameda County Bar Association Distinguished Service Award. He has been a Fellow since 2003 of the American Bar Foundation and is AV rated in Martindale Hubbell. He is an author of six lead law review articles in the areas of insurance coverage, complicated medical injury claims, contracts and the statute of frauds, worker"s compensation in California and federal and state water law. These articles have been cited in several important appellate opinions, including the California and Iowa Supreme Courts. Marc is the 1998 past president of the Alameda County Bar Association.
